About Kay Erl & Practice Management Resources, Inc.
Kay Erl of Practice Management Resources, Inc. has worked as a Registered Dental Hygienist in the states of FL, GA, & (briefly) in N.C. She opened her 1st business, Atlanta Dental Resources, Inc., in 1993, which was a full-service dental employment agency. As she branched out into other industries…all small businesses, she saw a pattern when it came to hiring. During this time Kay realized that most small business owners don’t understand that hiring is a process & they have no system in place. She very much enjoyed permanent placements & found that she became involved with matching the work behavior with the behavior of the Team & employer. However, she didn’t like temporary placements & when the opportunity arose for her to take a job as a Dental Consultant, she jumped!! Once re-married, she took some time off & developed her current company, Practice Management Resources, Inc.
Some of Kay’s accomplishments are: Received Volunteer of the Year Award from the Georgia Dental Hygienists’ Association, 1989. President of the Atlanta Dental Hygienists’ Society, 1989-1990. Held various Board positions for both organizations for 9 years. Owner of Atlanta Dental Resources, Inc. for 5 years. Has spoken to various non-profit & professional organizations. Table Clinician at the Hinman Dental Convention numerous years.
Practice Management Resources, Inc. primary business focus is to provide the building blocks for the success of the small business owner, under 50 employees. She functions as an outsourced H.R. consultant to develop & implement H.R. protocols (manual); offers team building (soft people skills); assessments including DiSC, Team Dimensions, Work Expectations, & Time Management; training programs centered around the assessments; Simple Business Plans & Workshops; and, Time Management coaching.
Kay’s approach to each business owner is that the business is only as good (or hopefully great) as its’ Team! Kay is a creative thinker. She sees the “forest” & the “trees.” She believes each business is unique & works diligently to help the business owner & Team discover that uniqueness. Kay expects accountability & asks for it. She loves working with Teams. Kay believes customer service will always win over price, no matter the current economy.
